Alcorn ranks in four U.S. News & World Report rankings 

LORMAN — In the recent release of the U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of colleges, Alcorn State received four rankings and saw improvement in one key category.

According to the publication’s report, Alcorn ranked No. 19 in the Historically Black Colleges and Universities category, rising four spots from last year (No. 23). Alcorn is also ranked No. 28 in the Top Performers on Social Mobility, No. 39 in Top Public Schools, and No. 84 in Regional Universities South.

In its listing, the magazine listed Alcorn with a total undergraduate enrollment of 3,068.

“Alcorn’s yearly rankings are an indication of our hard work and commitment to achieving greatness,” Felecia M. Nave, Alcorn’s president, said. “We set the bar high, and we strive not only to live up to our standards but also exceed them. Alcorn is filled with exceptional students, faculty, and staff who go above and beyond to represent the University positively. Our goal is to remain a top university for years to come.”
