Shooting suspect in custody, no details yet on shooting victim

Deputies with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office have a suspect in custody connected to a shooting Friday morning.

Just before 8:30 a.m., 911 dispatched law enforcement and emergency medical units to a home on the 9000 block of U.S. 61 South in response to a shooting.

There is reportedly just one victim and the suspect identified was found on the property by authorities. He is now in custody.

Authorities have not provided any updates on the victim — a woman — who was reportedly shot in the abdomen.

The Vicksburg Post has a reporter and photographer at the scene and will provide updates when information is available.
