Catherine Hadaway

President & Publisher

Catherine Hadaway, as The Vicksburg Post’s publisher, oversees the business operations of the newspaper. She is a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Business and Religion. She is a Director of Boone Newspapers, Inc., the family company that owns The Post. Catherine comes from a long line of newspaper publishers, starting with her grandfather, Buford Boone, who served as publisher of The Tuscaloosa News and earned journalism's highest honor when he won the Pulitzer Prize in 1957 for his editorial titled "What a Price for Peace." Catherine is a member of The Rotary Club of Vicksburg, The Vicksburg Warren Economic Development Foundation, Vicksburg Young Professionals, The Heritage Guild, The Vicksburg Warren County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a Chi Omega alumna.

Tim Reeves, as The Vicksburg Post’s editor, oversees the newsroom and works with staff reporters and photographers to fulfill our mission of producing local content that matters to the Vicksburg and Warren County community. Tim covers county government and The Warren County Port Commission, among other topics. Tim and his wife Stephanie are the parents of three children, Sarah Cameron, Clayton and Fin, who attend school in the Vicksburg Warren School District. The family is a member of First Baptist Church Vicksburg. Tim is involved in a number of civic and volunteer organizations, including the United Way of West Central Mississippi. He also serves on the City of Vicksburg's Riverfront Redevelopment Committee.

Courtland Wells is a staff photographer at The Vicksburg Post. He is a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism. Following graduation, he started at The Vicksburg Post in the fall of 2016. Courtland has won numerous awards through the Mississippi Associated Press Managing Editors and the Mississippi Press Association. His work has also been featured in the New York Times and Washington Post as well as other national publications. Courtland is a member of the Vicksburg Young Professionals.

Ernest Bowker : Sports editor

Sports editor

Ernest Bowker is The Vicksburg Post’s Sports Editor. He has been a member of The Post's sports staff since 1998, making him one of the longest-tenured sports reporters in the paper's 137-year history. The New Jersey native is a graduate of Louisiana State University. In his career, he has won more than 50 awards from the Mississippi Press Association and Associated Press for his coverage of local Vicksburg sports.

Terri Fraizer is a part-time reporter at The Vicksburg Post and serves as editor of the Vicksburg Living Magazine, which has recently been awarded First Place by the Mississippi Press Association. She has also been the recipient of a First Place award in the MPA’s Better Newspaper Contest’s editorial division for the “Best Feature Story.” A native of Cleveland, Terri grew up in Vicksburg and graduated from Warren Central High School and then Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations. Prior to coming to work at The Post a little more than 10 years ago, she did some freelancing at the Jackson Free Press. But for most of her life, she has enjoyed being a full-time stay at home mom. Terri is a member of the Crawford Street United Methodist Church. She is a lifetime member of the Vicksburg Junior Auxiliary and is a past member of the Sampler Antique Club and Town and Country Garden Club. She is married to Dr. Walter Frazier.

“From staying informed with local governmental issues to hearing the stories of its people, a hometown newspaper is vital to a community. I have felt privileged to be part of a dedicated team at The Post throughout my tenure and hope that through continued local support, I will be able to grow and hone in on my skills as I share Vicksburg’s stories. Reporter

John Surratt is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in general studies. He has worked as an editor, reporter and photographer for newspapers in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. He has been a member of The Vicksburg Post staff since 2011 and covers city government. He and his wife attend St. Paul Catholic Church and he is a member of the Port City Kiwanis Club.

Shandale Goodman is The Vicksburg Post's bookkeeper.  She has been a member of the Post staff since 2005.  Born and raised in Vicksburg, Shandale graduated from Vicksburg High School and then from Hinds Community College with an associate's degree in Applied Science with a minor in Accounting.  Shandale and her family attend Travelers Rest Baptist Church.

Vanessa Hubbard, a native of Gatlinburg, TN, moved to Vicksburg in the summer of 2019 and started at The Post the following September. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations/Advertising and Psychology. She is a member of the Vicksburg Young Professionals and Public Relations Associations of Mississippi. Vanessa and her family attend Triumph Church.
